Bamboo

The engineered bamboo used by Okaw Amish Furniture, is also used for structural, architectural, and OEM industrial applications. We achieve sterling performance of our engineered bamboo through culling a select few varietals of bamboo from over 1600 species.

Stalks of bamboo are cut, coated with moisture-resistant glue, heat pressed, and cut to sheet or dimensional specs, forming a substrate that's as durable as hardwood.
